Part of Paoli Village Shoppes Marked as a Historical Site

Did you know that our town name was founded at the original 1767 Paoli Inn?

To commemorate this, the Paoli Business & Professional Association has placed a marker on the original site.  And, guess what?  It’s in the Paoli Village Shoppes!

The site of the Paoli Inn was located in the building where Edible Arrangements, State Farm and Primo Hoagies are located.  The revolutionary era tavern was named for the Corsican patriot, Pasquale Paoli.  It was occupied briefly by British soldiers during the Battle of Paoli in 1777.

The Marking Ceremony
