Did you know that our town name was founded at the original 1767 Paoli Inn?
To commemorate this, the Paoli Business & Professional Association is placing a marker on the original site. And, guess what? It’s in the Paoli Village Shoppes!
The site of the Paoli Inn was located in the building where Edible Arrangements, State Farm and Primo Hoagies are located. The revolutionary era tavern was named for the Corsican patriot, Pasquale Paoli. It was occupied briefly by British soldiers during the Battle of Paoli in 1777.
You’re invited to join the dedication ceremony on Tuesday, May 14 at 2 pm at the site. There will be a short history of the inn and reenactors followed by light refreshments provided by Primo Hoagies.
In case of inclimate weather, the rain date will be Thursday, May 16 at 2 pm. Click here to learn more.
